New Curlers

Welcome to Nanaimo Curling Club!! Whether you're a brand new curler or an experienced curler who has just moved to Nanaimo you are in for lots of fun and are about to meet some of the greatest people in Nanaimo. The Nanaimo Curling Club has been built on the thousand and thousands of volunteer hours that the curlers have put in over the last 50 years.

We have programs and leagues to suit the rookie or the experienced curler, from novice leagues to cash leagues.

Our pro shop has everything for entry level to the latest and greatest in curling equipment.

If you are the brand new novice curler we invite you out to our Learn to Curl Clinics at the start of the season. Learn to Curl Clinics are held in the afternoon and in the evenings, we encourage you to come all three afternoons or all three evenings as we teach in a progression, ending up on the Wednesday night with a short game. Many of our seasoned members will be here to help get you started, we have all the equipment you'll need to try it out. Just be sure and wear comfortable loose fitting clothing (stretchy pants), bring a vest or light jacket, gloves or mitts, bring nice clean, clean running shoes (all the dirt & gravel pick out of the bottoms) carry these shoes into the Club change into them when you are going onto the ice.

If you can't make the Clinics we offer free lessons each Wednesday night during the season or private lessons can be arranged for a small fee.
