Friday night mixed
6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Rink of Choice Fun Night Curling League
The Friday night
mixed league has 24 teams that play 18 to 20 games a year. 12 teams will
play at 6:30 and 16 teams will play at 8:30. Teams will rotate time slots,
which means you will play one week at 6:30 and the next week at 8:30. There
will be 4 squares - A, B C and D. Teams will compete with other teams of
the same caliber. Rink of Choice means you enter with the team of your
choice and you curl the full season with the same team.
We call this Fun
Night because most players are serious about
having fun! We encourage teams to rotate their positions, as this improves
players’ skills and gives each player a better understanding of the game.
After our games, we
have a great social time upstairs in the lounge. (This is when players can
blame the skip for losing or thank the lead for winning.)
Also, every Friday
night, for only $1.00 per ticket or 6 for $5.00, curlers can enter our 50/50
draw for a chance at winning approximately $32.00. The other 50% goes for
prizes at Christmas (Turkey Draw) and the windup social at the end of the
season.
